DILI, www.news-viptv.com – In response to the current situation in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, Timor-Leste and Malaysia urge the international community to immediately end Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people.

Timor-Leste and Malaysia conveyed this call in a joint statement by the Prime Ministers of both countries on Thursday (September 24, 2025) at the Palacio do Governo, Dili.

The two leaders expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, caused by Israel’s genocidal actions.

They condemned the indiscriminate violence and systematic blockade, which have resulted in massive civilian casualties, widespread displacement, famine, and critical shortages of essential supplies, including medicine.

“The Leaders urged the international community to act decisively to end the aggression, prevent further regional destabilization, and ensure immediate and unhindered humanitarian access,” said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

They reiterated their urgent call for a permanent ceasefire to achieve lasting peace, security, and stability.

Both Leaders reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for peace, freedom, and the inalienable right to self-determination. They underscored that a just and durable solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict must be pursued through peaceful means, grounded in international law, international humanitarian law, and relevant UN resolutions.

Both Leaders welcomed the increased global support to recognize the State of Palestine. This is a positive step towards realizing a sovereign and independent State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, and East Jerusalem as its capital under the two-State solution. Both Leaders also urged all countries who have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so.
