DILI, www.news-viptv.com – The President of Timor-Leste, Jose Ramos-Horta, received letters of credence from 11 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassadors from non-resident friendly countries, Monday (19/2/2024), at the Palacio Presidencial Nicolau Lobato, Dili.
The process of handing over the credentials began with a welcome according to Timor-Leste culture, then continued with military honors, as well as a declaration by each ambassador when officially handing over the credentials to President Ramos-Horta as a sign of the official start of each ambassador’s official duties as the country’s official representative. which he represents in bilateral relations and cooperation with Timor-Leste.
“As an independent sovereign state, strengthening friendships and cooperation globally and regionally is imperative for Timor-Leste. - Sten Frimodt Nielsen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark, residing in Jakarta – Indonesia.
- Georgios Dogoritis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) residing in Singapore.
- Mohammad Boroujerdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary The Islamic Republic of Iran residing in Jakarta – Indonesia.
- Ameer Khurram Rathore, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary The Islamic Republic of Pakistan residing in Jakarta – Indonesia.
